After the last several demoralizing months for women, making us dread what’s to come next, today’s Women’s Marches were an incredible beacon of hope.
I’ve watched footage all day of marches all over the country and all over the world, from Washington D.C. to Melbourne, Australia, and I am so deeply moved. With an estimated 500,000 in attendance in D.C. alone, the turnout was a true testament to the will of the people. And it demonstrates without a doubt how intense the backlash will be for any infringement upon our rights.
Thank you. Thank you to every woman and man who was out there showing support for our rights as females and human beings. Thank you for giving me – and giving us all – hope for the future.
The future is female.
P.S. What does it say that out of all the marches and more than 3 million people all over the world in attendance that there were no riots, no violence and zero arrests? I say again, the future is female.
